The Return of Fancy Friday

Since we are now on snow day number 5 this week, I have only been out of the house once in an entire week!  A week, people!!!  A WEEK!  And that was to the bank drive-thru and grocery store yesterday afternoon with the demolition duo in tow.

Does anybody have Mother Nature's number?  Because I seriously need to file a complaint.  Last time I checked, I was still living in the South where our normal high temp. for this time of year is 50 degrees Fahrenheit.  Get with the program, Ms. Nature!

Since I have had limited contact with the outside world this week, I have very little to blog about so I thought I would attempt to bring back Fancy Friday.  The 3 or 4 of you who were following my blog for the first few months after I started it last Spring, will remember Fancy Friday.

To the rest of you, Fancy Friday was my way of assuring that I got my "fancy" fix each week since I live in a predominantly male environment.  I surf the web in search of  pretty things that strike my fancy and then share them with you here.

So let's get our fancy on, shall we?

1. First up, in case you missed my blog post Wednesday, is the Marrakech Curtain I ordered from Anthropologie for my dining room I just painted gold.  I can't even express to you how much I love these curtains. I won't lie, they are a little pricey and certainly more than I would have liked to pay for curtains, but I could find no comparison.  I ordered them in slate but they also come in turquoise, green and red...

2. Next up is this Medallion Necklace  I stumbled upon.  I can see this looking great with so many different outfits.  Definitely makes a statement.  And the best thing about it? The pricetag...17.99.

3. Topin Jo Cardigan.  I love the flowing look of this soft grey cardigan on sale at Piperlime.  I've always been a sucker for a little ruffle.

4. Bandolino Berry  shoe in black and white floral.  I adore a little kitten heel like this one I found on sale at Piperlime.  It comes in several different prints but this is my fave.

5. Ella Moss Kayla TopI'm watching for this sexy little top to go on sale.  Love!

6. Twig Beveled Mirror.  I'm seriously considering ordering this mirror for my freshly painted foyer.  What do y'all think?

7. Jungle Flowers Ruffle Shell.  Loving this cute little ruffled shell I found at Ann Taylor Loft.  This would look cute with a pair of slacks or jeans or even a skirt.  Also comes in purple.

8. Strawberry Weave Hobo.  I'm a sucker for a red bag!  Found this one at Anthropologie.

9. Lilly Pulitzer Boom-Boom Pajamas.  I've been in search of a comfy and cute new pear of pj's for awhile now and I don't know who Lilly Pulitzer is but her pajamas rock.  Now if Garnet Hill would just put them on sale...

10. Nine West Ageless.  No Fancy Friday is ever complete without a cute little pair of wedges because y'all know I love me a pair of wedge heels.
I found these at Zappos.  They come in four colors but something about these yellow ones just make me smile...

Happy weekend!

  1. 5 days? Seriously??? OHHH. That happened to us last year. The week before Christmas. I so feel your pain. Spike your hot chocolate and pay for some On Demand movies.

  2. The only thought that has gotten me through this week is that a month from tomorrow I will be on a CRUISE with my hubby and coworkers without my children. What a great way to celebrate Valentines day and my b-day (you can do the math to figure out which one).

  4. Love the idea of Fancy Friday!! And I have to admit, I may be copying your dining room design. I have light yellow walls (close to gold no?) and I think your idea would be beautiful in our new place......so.....copying is the biggest form of flattery right?

Thanks for stopping my blog the other day!
