Y chromosome overload

What were we thinking?!

Devin is 11 today and the Dracenator turns 7 tomorrow so we graciously agreed to a sleepover last night.  We had 7 boys between the ages of 7 and 12 in the house.  Six of them remain.  No, we didn't lose one.  Instead we answered the doorbell last night about 9 to a dad who said one of  his called wanting to go home because he got into a tiff with one of the other ones.

Boy, didn't we feel like idiots because we had no idea since they had been in the yard playing hide and seek or up in the bonus room which, by the way, I am afraid to look at this morning.  While they were gone to midnight bowling last night (Thank You, C!  I owe you BIG!) I went up there to find about 15 soda cans/bottles, jolly ranchers strewn all over the floor and a big black glob of that silly slime stuff stuck to the carpet.  Uggghhhh!!!!

Does anyone know of a good carpet stain remover?  That is the one room in this entire house that has carpet and this little incident just reminds me why I despise carpet.  It is just not compatible with Y chromosomes under the age of 18 and wiener dogs.

We were awaken this morning at 7am to the sounds of giggles and shouts outside our bedroom window.  Turns out they stayed up all night long and went back out at the crack of dawn to finish their hide and seek game.

Where is that no good Juan and those umbrella drinks when you need them most?   Nowhere around here, I'll tell you that!

The Dracenator just tracked me down to inform me that two of the boys are MIA and they can't find them anywhere!  Cover me, I'm goin' in!

to be continued...

  1. It sounds like you have your hands more than full. You need a X-chromosome afternoon / evening / heck, a DAY out to balance it all out.
