Getting to know you Sunday...~Happy 4th!

It's time for Getting to Know You Sunday with MannLand 5.

Getting to know YOU

1. What do you look forward to the most on the 4th of July?

Fireworks!  I'm hoping to find some today since I missed out the last two years by being out of the country on the 4th.

2. Are you a hugger?

Definitely not.  I mean I will hug back and there are certain people I always hug when I see but sometimes all the hugginess makes me a little uncomfortable.

3. What is your favorite BBQ'd food?

Chips!  Oh, I wish I didn't love you so!

4. Do you like to watch parades?

not so much.  I was in band/colorguard from 6th - 12th grades and was forced to march in so many parades, in the cold, heat or rain so I think that kinda killed parades for me a little.  I do always make it a point to have the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade on t.v. on Thanksgiving Day though.

5. Who has stinkier farts..boys or girls?

I don't know about girls but my boys can really drop some stink bombs and then laugh like hyenas about it!

6. Vampires or Werewolves?

Vampires! Bite me, baby!

7. Do you read your horoscope?

Nope.

8. What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
if I had to pick just one, it would be homemade banana split but I do not discriminate against any flavors!

HAPPY

INDEPENDENCE

DAY!!!

Breakin' bad flip offs

I really do plan to do Fancy Friday again sometime, I promise.  I really do.

But not today.

I'm gonna break bad and do the flip offs with Gigi over at Kludgy Mom again this week.

To the state trooper who stopped me in the middle of the street for a license check in the dark and in the middle of BFE as we were coming back from Dev's all-star game and wrote me a $160 ticket because my inspection expired 15 days ago and I had no clue because I never got the thingy in the mail, probably because we moved and the forwarding process takes FOREVER causing me to now have to go back to BFE in order to get out of paying it once I get the inspection done.  FLIPPITY FLIP FLIP FLIP OFFF!!!

To the people who treat Little League like it's the flippin' World Series and as if those little boys are gettin' paid millions to be out there....I've had it up to my eyeballs and I'm sick to death of it!  So flip off!

To the dude driving the big giant truck that you so inconsiderately, unkindly and thoughtlessly pulled right out in front of me and then proceeded to drive 35 mph ALL the way up the highway in a no passing zone causing me to get crazy road rage, count to ten five hundred times in my head and inhale through my nose and exhale through my mouth and to be late for my yoga class, FLIP OFF !!   But I thank God for an excellent yoga instructor because I needed it bad by the time I got there!

To my credit card company who keeps sending me those stupid blank checks in the mail,  I NEVER USE. I HAVE NEVER USED THEM AND I DON'T WANT THEM!!!!!  STOP SENDING THEM and causing me to have to take up my precious time and energy to destroy them...time and energy I could be expending on much more important things, like blogging!  Flip Off!

To my hormones that continue to give me a warped sense of self about once a month causing me to, once again, wreck my closet by trying on 15 different outfits before going back to the very first one I tried on and deciding that it would do, thus making me feel like a crazy person.  Will you never cease?!  Apparently you will not so here is a great big FLIP OFF for you!!!

And here's one especially for the ungrateful turtle I wrote about on Wednesday... I would say that next time I'll just keep rolling on by in my little car and mind my own business but that would be a lie because I'm a softie with a tender heart for critters so I know I'd save your ungrateful reptilian self all over again but you can flip off for having the audacity to hiss at me and attempt to bite me after I risked my very life to save you from the middle of that highway where you were certain to meet your unfortunate, grim and very messy demise right there in the middle of it!

Ahhh....I feel much better!

Happy Friday!

Happiness

10 things that are sure to put a smile on my face...

 1.  The memory of sledding down the hill after an unusually early snow last December...

2. Cute old photos of the boys...

3. The memory of my stepsister and I riding in star jet number 1 at Disney World when we were teenagers...the young guy who was the attendant was a very bad (and hilarious!) flirt.  I think we laughed until we hurt after he looked at the two of us, pointed back and forth at us and said, "I want YOU two girls to ride in star jet Number ONE!"  while giving us a "just between you and me" kind of wink.

3.  Countless memories and photos of Dixie Dog.

4. The photos that Popaw Bob takes of his four grand young 'uns  every summer on his front porch swing.  This is last year's...

5.  This photo of the Dracenator's first roller coaster ride two years ago.  The look on Charlie's face is priceless because this coaster was too darn small for him.  Just after this pic was snapped, Dev's hat flew off his head, never to be seen again...

6.  Memories of being in the beautiful British Virgin Islands on our honeymoon two years ago this week...

7. Memories of being on the beach in southern Spain one year ago this week...

8.  This photo I took of Brisco Darling the morning after we adopted him...

9.  Seeing Charlene Darling in a dress.  I swear, she really likes wearing them! She comes running to me when she sees me pull one out.

10.  This old photo of Steph (my sis from the star jet photo) and me in what we called our "hee haw" pants!

This post was part of Mama Kat's Writer's Workshop, prompt number 3. Write a list of 10 things that are sure to put a smile on your face when you are not happy.
